If you have business or career goals, often the best way is to create a positive habit of success. If you look and feel better because of your new health habits, you will have more energy and look more professional.
Customized Plans
All plans start with an interview. What has worked in the past for you, what hasn’t, what beliefs you have now, and what you want to accomplish all go together. Next, I come back with an initial plan, and a list of links to outside materials that will help you gain a new perspective. Together, we modify the plan and timetable to meet your reasonable expectations. The goal is for the plan to be something you can really commit to, and be confident enough to overcome the many hurdles you may face striving to bring about a change. Let us together design a total fitness plan that will help you truly achieve your realistic goals.
Personal Training
The most important part of exercise is the long-term habit, and the most important part of a long-term habit is the social aspect. I am not a personal trainer. I work with you to create a social plan that will make your new habits, lifetime habits. I do work with each client to design an individual plan of movement to start. Next, once you have enough confidence under your belt, we will develop a social exercise plan that may involve committing to a gym, pilates studio, personal trainer, yoga, walking or hiking group that you will keep up for at least the remainder of a year. The experience to guide you is mine, but the choices are yours.
In some limited cases, if you have a chronic lifestyle condition like diabetes and are insured, working through my consulting primary care physician, we may be able to have the appropriate portion of the cost covered by health insurance.
Appearance
After over 50 years in makeup and appearance plan adoption, I am still maintaining my appearance-only clients. For my habit coaching clients, I usually defer working on appearance until after you, as a client, begin to feel better about yourself. Appearance includes:

Hair
Style (including wardrobe)
Nutrition
Diets always fail. Instead, we create manageable increases in the amount of fresh food in your daily diet. In turn, you will begin to lose weight and develop healthier eating habits.
Sleep
One of the major unrecognized causes of eating calorie-dense food is fatigue. One of the major causes for a lack of sleep is the absence of a routine, including regular exercise. The approach for everyone is different, but by combining healthy eating, routine exercise and adequate sleep, you will be less likely to fall into old habits.
